Interlibrary Loan - InterLibrary Loan (ILL)
The service is reserved:
1) to users of the University of Salerno (teachers, researchers, doctoral students, enrolled in specialization courses and masters set up at the University of Salerno, theses students provided with a surety signed by the supervisor of the degree thesis);
2) to Italian and foreign libraries.

1) The service allows the aforementioned users of the University of Salerno to request and borrow from other Italian and foreign libraries books NOT owned by the University Library Center and not on the market.
Mode:

- users of the University of Salerno can access interlibrary loan by contacting the desk of the two central libraries during opening hours or by writing to the e-mail address: prestitiinterbibliotecario@unisa.it, taking care to include all references bibliographies of the desired text.

- a maximum of two volumes can be requested at a time, with a variable delivery time in relation to the availability of the lending libraries (usually 30 days). The user will be contacted by telephone or email within 24 hours of receiving the book.

- the service includes a contribution for shipping costs in addition to any rates requested by the lending institute (CTS resolution 14/12/2009). Students enrolled at the University of Salerno (CTS resolution 19/4/2010) are exempt from paying this contribution.

Voucher payment instructions:

Access the Payment Portal of the University of Salerno and click on "Spontaneous Payment"
Select the type of payment: "Payments for the University Library Center/CBA"
Fill in the requested data. The fields marked with * are mandatory, the others are optional
In "Reason for payment" select the item "Recoveries and refunds" from the drop-down menu
Indicate as reason "Purchase of voucher for interlibrary loan reference..... "(specify the request number and/or the requesting institution)
Indicate the amount and proceed to payment
Send a copy of the receipt to the email address: prestitiinterbibliotecario@unisa.it
2) The service fulfills requests from Italian and foreign libraries relating to the material held by the University Library Centre. Interlibrary loan of the library material stored in the department libraries is normally excluded (except for those that participate autonomously in the service). The service includes a contribution for the shipping costs for the libraries that do not operate in a free reciprocity regime.
Mode:
- for interlibrary loan requests, write to the dedicated e-mail address: prestitiinterbibliotecario@unisa.it, taking care to insert all the bibliographic references of the desired text;
- each library can request up to a maximum of 2 books;
- the duration of the loan is 30 days from the date of receipt of the document;
- the requesting library is responsible for the document sent;
- we do not accept requests for books published in the last two years, nor for multimedia documents or documents excluded from the loan;
- requests from private users are not accepted.

Document supply (DD)
The service is reserved:
1) to institutional users of the University of Salerno who belong to the following categories:

teachers
researchers
PhD students
enrolled in specialization courses and masters established at the University of Salerno
students
2) to Italian and foreign libraries.

The user of the University of Salerno can request and obtain from other Italian and foreign libraries articles in periodicals, contributions in miscellaneous volumes, conference proceedings, etc., NOT owned by the Libraries of the University of Salerno.

Method: After verifying that the documents of interest are not present in the university collective catalogue, the user proceeds to insert his request on the Nilde platform by logging in with his institutional credentials, if already enabled. For those who have never accessed the aforementioned platform, registration with institutional credentials is required, which will be followed by a communication from the library in order to start using the service. Once the material has been found, the user will receive, on his e-mail address, a notification of fulfillment and will be able to collect the scans of the documents, distributed in paper format, at the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Offices of the Library to which the request was sent. request.

It is possible to submit a maximum of 2 requests at a time and only after their evasion by the Library, will it be possible for the user to submit a new request.

The service is free if the bibliographic material is requested from libraries acting on a reciprocal basis.

Who requests or receives an article

undertakes to use the material exclusively for personal, study, research and educational purposes, in compliance with the legislation protecting copyright (Law No. 633 of 22 April 1941 and subsequent amendments and additions).

The Libraries of the University of Salerno decline any responsibility resulting from an improper or illegal use of the documents delivered.

The personal data provided by users of the service are treated on the basis of what is contained in the privacy policy of the University Library Centre.
